My name is Stephanie Radnoti and I have lived in Monrovia my whole life. I really love living here and feel so lucky to get to raise my kids in the best town! I’m a nurse, a crazy dog lady, a PTA mom, and a true blue Dodger fan!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My husband Jason is an electrician. My daughter Jordan will start at USC in January and will study music at the Thornton School of Music. Gavin, my son, is a Sophomore at Monrovia High and plays Soccer. My mother-in-law, Weasoo, and grandma Peggy also live here in Monrovia, and we love spending time together.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a Nurse Practitioner, and have worked with Pediatric patients since I became a nurse 18 years ago. I love working with kids, as they are very sweet and filled with hope. I currently teach at Mt. SAC and Azusa Pacific University. I also work at Dr. Sasaki’s office as an aesthetics nurse. I love the flexibility that my career affords me.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
The Diplomat, Sena, Gem City Grill, Alitalia Pizza, Zelo’s, and Black Market Grill

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
42 years, my whole life. I am a third generation Monrovian, and proud of it.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
That is a very hard question, as there are so many interesting people here. I would have to say Susan Hirsch from MHS, who recently passed away. She lived an amazing life and really touched every person she came in contact with and made our community and the World a better place.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Hawaii, because it is pretty much the only place I’ve been where I really feel at peace.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Almost Famous, Dexter and The Sopranos. Sorry, they are tied for my favorite show.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Always be kind and help people when you can. One of my favorite quotes is “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”- Ghandi

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To go to Dollywood in Tennessee, because Dolly Parton is my idol!

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
That is very hard to answer, as I love lots of different types of music and artists. Elton John and Tom Petty always soothe my soul, though.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Bob’s Big Boy

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Dolly Parton, and I would take her to Gem City Grill! Now that would be one heck of a good time!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The people in our community are the best, and many have been here for generations. You don’t find that in many places.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Maybe running for the school board, or some other position in which I can help improve our awesome town.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have a vast knowledge of music and wish I could go on Rock ‘n Roll Jeopardy or Beat Shazam. Also, I have fostered over 150 dogs for Hand in Paw, the best animal rescue around!

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Hawaii

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
May is my favorite month. Christmas is my favorite holiday. My kids’ birthdays are the best days on the calendar, because those were the two best days of my life.

Dodger Stadium

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My kids and every kid in our community. Also John Wooden, as he was such an inspiring, wonderful person.

Johnson’s Baby Wash, lavender

Warm, dogs, Dodger Stadium
