My Name is Terrence Brown. I am the Police Chaplain President for the Monrovia Police Department, where I also reside. My passion is Community Outreach, Activism & Volunteerism, so much so that I have recently started a Non- Profit entitled Impact Community United, which solely exists to change the course of the life trajectories of youth and families experiencing various forms of hardship and crisis across America, one community at a time. ICU’s goal is to involve the community in the development and creative process of services intended to meet their unique needs with emancipatory impact.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about Monrovia is, of course, the people – just how family-oriented they are and willing to help. I remember when my wife and I had taken my nephews, ages 5, 2 & 1, to live with us for a while. Upon their arrival, the late great Pam Fitzpatrick found out and made sure those boys had a wonderful Christmas.  I’m tearing up as I write this, but that’s just one example of the community seeing a need and coming together. As a MAP Leader, I’ve witnessed it on countless occasions at various community events.
