I celebrated my 90th birthday October 10, 2021. I am the oldest community member of Second Baptist Church. I moved from Mississippi to Monrovia in 1947. I owned my first beauty salon, BeautyRams, on Huntington Dr. I am a widow, and I was married two times – to Enoch Spicer, Sr. and Milton Adams, Jr., both from Monrovia.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I was blessed with eight children.  Sadly, three are deceased. I have ten grandchildren and twelve great=grandchildren

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a retired Hairstylist. I love to make people look and feel better about themselves.

Red Lobster and Mimi’s

75 years

Africa to visit the Motherland and connect to my heritage

Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Take a cruise around the world

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I listen to gospel artists like CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Steve Harvey makes me laugh. I would meet him for lunch at the Red Lobster Restaurant

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the mountains and the small town community

Celebrating my 100th Birthday 🎂

I would love to find love again

November. Thanksgiving Day. Give thanks to God

Jesus is my inspiration to live for Him alone!
