I grew up in the midwest and studied music my entire life. I graduated with a degree in opera performance and started writing songs my senior year in college. Instead of going to graduate school, I decided to move to Los Angeles to make it in music and got signed to RCA records in 2001. I have enjoyed a 20-year career making records and touring and writing music! I had my first kiddo, Ronen, in 2008, where I went from a full-time touring, writing and performing musician to part-time musician and stay at home mommy. I had my daughter in 2011.

In 2017, I started my own performing arts school called Something Like a Voice Lesson. We offer Classical Voice Lessons, Contemporary Voice Lessons, Songwriting Coaching, Piano, Music production, Artist Development, Performance Coaching, Audition Coaching and MUCH more. We have singers and musicians in twelve countries around the world. I still perform with my students live and am currently writing a vocal pedagogy book called “The Charlotte Martin Vocal Method.”
