Hello, I am Victor Huynh.
Born in San Diego, raised in SGV, currently live and own a business here in Monrovia, and as of this interview, am the current President of the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a beautiful wife named Ting and two little boys ages 5 and 6 that attend public school here in town.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve been running a digital marketing agency for the last 17 years and plan to continue. I love digital marketing because there’s always something new to learn and ways to help clients.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Grano, Seasoning Alley, Something Healthy, Las Marias, Cafe de Olla, Mikomi.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Since 2015.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
John Watson.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Japan. Food.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Disney Pixar’s “Up.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Do what makes you happy.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Have Cigars in Cuba.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Green Day.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Myrtle Tree Cafe.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Valentino Rossi. I’m a big motorcycle fan, he’s the GOAT of Moto GP. We would eat at Grano because I imagine Rossi’s Italian personality would be identical to the owners and it would be a blast!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
People and Diversity. Monrovia is the most mixed community I’ve experienced in my life. That’s across the spectrum – we have different religious, political, ethnic, and social beliefs and still manage to live side by side.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Here in Monrovia.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I watch a lot of Anime.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Papoose Flats in the California Sierra Mountains. It’s only accessible via 4WD.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
October. Halloween. Oct. 31.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Can’t think of anything right now.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My wife.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Root Beer. Hazelnut.

Family. Warmth. Comfort.
