I have lived here since 2014, and my only regret is not having moved here sooner. I retired from working at a bank in 2021, and am waiting for the right time to get back to work as a Real Estate Appraiser. I just started taking bridge lessonse, with one class under my belt. We’ll see how long that lasts 😂

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have two children, a son who is a fifth grade teacher in the Alhambra School District and a daughter who is getting ready to make a huge move to South Carolina and is lucky enough to be able to work remotely as a travel agent

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been a Real Estate Appraiser for just shy of 30 years. I’ve always worked under my own shingle except for a brief eight years when I was employed by a large bank as an in-house appraiser. I love being an appraiser, as I get to meet all different kinds of people. Being independent, I can spend as much time talking with them about their favorite subject, their house. I also get to indulge myself in my favorite past time – looking through peoples homes!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Hands down, Market Grill inside Gem City Bar & Grill!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved here in 2014 from Arcadia where I sort of knew the neighbors on either side of me. When I moved here, I told my husband my goal was to know everyone in this city! First opportunity I had, I joined the board of MOHPG (the Monrovia Historic Preservation Group), and the rest is history

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Brenda Trainor, owner of Wonder Dog Ranch.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
If I could guarantee my safety, I would go to the Ukraine. I am in such awe of President Zelenski, of the Ukrainian people, and their resolve and and their strength. If I could help them for only a month or two…

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Ozark, although I couldn’t watch it right before bed.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Always listen to your gut! Your head and your heart can be at odds, so listen to your gut – it’s going to be spot on!

I don’t have a “list,” I have a notebook!

Our love and passion for history, historical buildings and monuments
